To ask for the quantity, how much or how many we use in Spanish:
Cuánto – masculine singular
¿Cuánto aceite? - how much oil?
Cuánta – feminine singular
¿Cuánta leche? – How much milk?
Cuántos – masculine plural
¿Cuántos huevos? – how many eggs?
Cuántas – feminine plural
¿Cuántas patatas? – How many potatoes?
To ask for the price of a product we say ¿cuánto vale? or ¿cuánto valen? singular or plural:
¿cuánto vale el pan? – How much is the bread?
¿cuánto valen las patatas? – How much are the potatoes?

To say this one we use éste (masculine) ésta (feminine)
To say these ones we use éstos (masculine) éstas (feminine)
In Spanish the adjectives, like the colors, have different ending depending on what they describe. With a masculine noun they end in –o, with a feminine noun they end in –a. The order in the sentence is different form the English one, they always go after the noun.
La falda roja – the red skirt
El traje rojo – the red suit
There are some adjectives that remain the same in the masculine and feminine
La falda azul – the blue skirt
El traje azul – the blue suit
La camisa verde – the green shirt
El jersey verde – the green jumper
If the nouns are plural we add an –s at the end if the adjective ends in a vowel or –es if the adjective ends in a consonant.
Los pantalones amarillos – the yellow trousers
Las corbatas azules – the blue ties
To wear in English is llevar in Spanish:
(yo) llevo – I wear
(tú) llevas – you wear
(él/ella/usted) lleva – he/she wears
